Economic Overview

What we brief clients on

Lebanon has been actively pursuing a policy of infrastructure reconstruction, especially of its telecommunications systems.

The unit of currency is the Lebanese pound (LL), known locally as the lira, circulating in denominations of LL 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 and 10,000.

As of 2015, virtually every business — certainly shops, restaurants and hotels — will accept US dollars, which simplifies commercial settlement for visiting companies.
